Weaving is a wonderful craft. I have been practicing, experimenting and learning in it for many years.

My early beginnings in textiles were as a spinner. This taught me a lot about fibers, twist and other yarn and materials properties. I also experimented with photography of nature, particularly the balance of regularity and irregularity found there. Other fascinations are with visual language, calligraphies and script.

In weaving, I have experimented in a few main areas – with plain weave in unusual materials and techniques, with complex structures and materials leaning towards an expression of what I had found in nature but with a practical craft bent, and with textiles as a true artistic expression.
